engagement photos

On Saturday Mike and I got some photos taken. I got to see a few of them today and for the most part they turned out really nice. Except I made mike get a hair cut for the pictures and now he looks really really young! Some of the pictures he only looks like he is 14 or 15...(sad) and then there is me who looks I'm pushing 30...while I'm the one who has just turned 21 and he has 4 years on me. But as soon as they are all done I will try and post a few on here! :0)

what the....GUM?

So i have now decided that it will be a long long long time before Mike and I will be having, or thinking about kids! We cant even keep our puppy under control. So about a month ago, lets just say Mohgley got his attitude adjusted. (he is a boy pup so you figure it out...) and after that he seemed to settle down and was a good lil guy...well after our his little buddy Marley left us he has now decided to act up again and take a few notes from his monster of a friend Marley. Last night after visiting with his Mikes parents we get home and find that Mohgley had some how, some weird way stepped in gum! What kind of dog steps in gum? He is seriously like a little kid! So first came the ice cube and then came the peanut butter and finally came the scissors! And about a week ago Mohgley decided to eat so random nuts that he found outside which made him sooo sick! (And which made me freak. I don't handle vomit and gross stuff like that very well) So to conclude this little tid bit I will not be having kids unless I have a full time nanny to handle the vomit, gum, and dookie!!!

Let the countdown begin...

So 365 days from today Mike and I will be getting married! So far we have found a place for the wedding and the reception. I have also gotten a few ideas posted on theknot.com. Even though we are going to be getting married in Idaho we will be having a open house/reception in Muncie a couple weeks after the wedding. Though it is still a year away it is never to early to start. (Now if only I could drop some lbs so that when I got dress shopping its and enjoyable experience instead of a depressing one!)

House guest...

So as some of you know (from previous blog) I have a new little house guest staying with me for a while. He weighs about 3lbs, furry as can be and is hell on wheels! Even though I love my little Marley sooo much, I do know now why I only have one dog! (my sweet Mohgley!) Now Mohgley himself is defiantly no angel but compared to Evil Knievel (aka Marley) Mohgley is a saint! But Marley is still puppy and not quite house trained yet, so hopefully with time the little hellion will mellow out. I really cant be too mad with the little guy, I think he is a little confused since he isn't at his own house with his mom and dad. (Cindy/Monty) He doesn't really now what to do or think. (I also think he is acting out a little because his mom and dad are gone.) But on the other hand it is good for Mohgley because they play so hard that when bed time comes they are both so tired they sleep all night long.

Never thought

So I never thought in a million years Mike would be in Idaho with out me! (Even though it is for unfortunate circumstances) I never thought I would be here and he would be there. Sure maybe I would go there by myself to see my fam or something but never thought it would be the other way around! I wish I could be there for him and his fam but work awaits me :( and so I sit here and blog.....wa wa wa.... Mike will be back Sunday and even though he has only been gone for what... 4 hours... I miss him. But on the other hand I do get to have Marley (Mohgley's little brother) come stay with me while they are all in Idaho...without me... :(

Wedding date

Well another reason why I decided to start a blog was so I could keep all of my family and friends in Idaho updated on the wedding plans. Well as most of you all know Mike asked the big question May 16 2008 and we have now set a date for the wedding, September 26 2009! The wedding will of course be in Idaho. But we will be having a little ceremony/reception her in Muncie for all of the fam and friends who wont be able to head out there for the "real" wedding.

So over the weekend I was kind of hit with a major wedding bug. First we attended a friend of Mike's reception then on Sunday we went to a 50th wedding anniversary for Mike's great aunt and uncle. (Max and Marianna) And a funny thing I learned is that their wedding date was September 26 1958! I thought that it was such a strange coincidence! So we will now have the same anniversary date as them! But I also took that as a very good sign! I was kind of wanting to push the date up a couple of weeks but then it was going to cause scheduling problems with Mikes school so we settled on the 26th and I'm sure glad we did! Max and Marianna have been married for 50 years and they seem as happy as ever! That only makes me want to get married even sooner so that Mike and I can one day celebrate our 50th!

First one....

So my dear friend Jennie decided I needed a blogspot.... since I have disappeared from good ol' Poky and ended up in Hoosier land this might be a good way to keep in touch and tabs on my old life.
Well I am currently residing in Muncie Indiana while my fiance' (Mike) finishes up school to get his business degree. We live in a cute little home in a quiet little neighborhood with our puppy Mohgley! Plans are being made for a September 2009 wedding in my home town. Then after Mike graduates we are hoping to move out of Muncie and closer to my family in Idaho! I moved to Indian the first part of April and I have still not fully adjusted to my new surroundings. It is so flat here that half the time I cant tell whether I'm going north, south, east or west? One of the things that I am really enjoying about the move is that I am close to so many cool cities. Chicago is only about 3 hours away and has become my new favorite city! For such a big city it is so clean and pretty! (well besides the south side of Chicago...scary place!) Even though we were only there for an extended weekend we had a blast! Navy Pier at night is beautiful and the beaches during the day were awesome! O and then there was "Wrigley Ville" that place is an experience in its own! And of course we have Indy (Indianapolis) which is just a hop skip and jump away. Its not anything compared to Chicago but the shopping is 10 times better than anything in Idaho....ha! But overall I am so glad to have ventured away from my comfort zone and have been able to experience a new part of the country!
